Privacy Policy

The short version: Letter Buddy collects nothing. No names, no photos, no usage data. Everything you and your child do in the app stays on your own iPad. The app does not even need an internet connection.
Who are we?
Letter Buddy is made by Linthi B.V., based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Questions about privacy? Email us at [email protected]. We read every message ourselves and are happy to help.
What data do we collect?
None. This is not a fine-print trick, it is really true:
- There is no account and no sign-up.
- The app shows no ads and does no tracking.
- We use no analytics and no third-party software that watches along.
- The app sends nothing over the internet. It works fully offline.
What stays on the iPad?
To make the app work, a few things are stored locally on the device:
- Your child's name and chosen color.
- The words you added for practice.
- Progress: which letters are done and which reward pictures are unlocked.
- Photos you added yourself as reward pictures.
This data never leaves the iPad. We cannot access it, and neither can anyone else.
What about photos?
Parents can add their own photos as reward pictures. For this we use Apple's photo picker. The app only receives the photos you choose yourself and has no access to the rest of your photo library. Chosen photos are stored on the iPad and are never sent anywhere.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not see your name, your payment details, or your Apple account. Apple's own privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Children
Letter Buddy is made for young children, and that is exactly why the app is built to collect nothing. Not from children, and not from parents either. The parts of the app meant for parents (settings and purchases) sit behind a parental gate.
Deleting data
Everything lives on your own iPad, so you are in full control:
- Delete a child profile in the app to erase that child's data.
- Delete the app to erase everything at once.
Because we hold no data ourselves, there is nothing you need to ask us for. There is nothing on our side to view, correct, or delete.
Changes
If anything changes in how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For a big change we will also mention it in the app.
